AKASHIC SISTER
I’m honored to introduce Rhiannon, the owner and creator of Akashic Sister.
She is a Shamanic Medium, Reiki practitioner, Medicine Drummer, and Akashic Record reader, deeply connected to the spiritual realms. Rhiannon is also the heart and soul behind transformative Divine Women and Maiden’s circles, which she lovingly synchronizes with the cycles of the Earth. Her work is a beautiful embodiment of sacred healing, wisdom, and divine feminine energy.
We’re truly fortunate to have her with us today to share her insights and wisdom.
Q. Where does your passion for Shamanic work comes from ?
The Shamanic worldview is the deep understanding that everything in our existence is connected and weaves together, including the spiritual and material world. I have felt this interconnectedness since I was a child, but the 'wake up' for me truly came in 2023 when I journeyed with the School of Shamanic Womancraft. I went on a 12 month long journey of rediscovering myself in relation to the earth and her seasons, my menstrual cycle and lunar phases, other women, and my own life experiences and wounding.
Understanding the interconnectedness of all of the parts of myself through the shamanic way, was the grounding experience I needed to have to really understand my purpose. From this place of understanding, I now bring seasonal women's circles, Menarche rites of passage celebrations, and Mama and Daughter's menarche education, as well as my work as a Medium/Channel.
Q. Why is it so important now a day to sit in circles with women ?
As my teacher Jane Hardwick-Collings would say - women have sat in circle for far longer than we haven't. When we return to the 'circle way' of sharing, and hearing the experiences of other women, the circle becomes the Shaman. In other words, the healing work happens when we reconnect to each other in a healed way, without judgement or competition, with open hearts, and with the intention to listen to whatever is arising in ourselves.
In a way, we all become sacred midwives to each other's processes, supporting each other to release what no longer serves us. In my circles we connect to the subtle energies of the earth's seasons, and understand how this affects us in our body and soul life, and how to work with these energies for our growth.
Q. How can we incorporate daily rituals that support our reconnection to our wholeness and truth?
Ritual is so important, and what is deeply missing in our society today. But it is through ritual, that we can 'drop in' and tune into our own intuition, that of our guides and of the earth's energies. As a mother of 4, I have a morning and evening ritual when my children are either sleeping or settling in to bed.
My rituals vary with the seasons, but in the morning I immediately journal my dreams. I have a ceremonial cacao with frankincense, and reflect on my dreams, the lunar phase, and set my intention for the day. This also involves moving my body gently, picking flowers from my garden, lighting a candle, and giving thanks. Many mornings I walk to our creek at dawn, and send my wishes for my family and community down the stream and into the world. My evenings are simpler, and involve lighting a candle, cleansing with mugwort or palo santo, and intentionally entering the dream space with a mantra. I sometimes using my drum to calm my nervous system and harmonise my body.
Q. What is your skincare routine ?
I am so grateful for your advice on my skincare, as my perimenopausal skin is quite sensitive!
I light a candle, have fresh flowers from my garden under my mirror, and then I apply Rose Oil to my skin using a Gua Sha. I then Mist, and apply Founder's Formula Calming Serum, and Rosella Cream, finishing with Rapsberry Suncream. My skin feels so soothed and loved with this ritual.
Q. What are some of your sacred object you keep in your altar ?
My altar is seasonal, so it always has fresh flowers. I use beeswax candles every day, and my medicine drum and rattle are always present. I feel like all aspects of nature are sacred, so you'll usually find plants, mosses, shells and crystals, wings and insects on my altar.
Thank you Rhiannon XX
